Driven by innovation and community thinking, Dirk de Rooij currently serves as Commercial Director Cargo at Seabury Consulting’s Amsterdam office. He commercially leads the expansion of its market information products and client network, which incorporates more than 75 clients worldwide, including many of the industry’s leading commercial airlines, integrators, forwarders, shipping lines and airports.

Since his Bachelor in Air Transport Management in Rotterdam, Dirk has held positions with specific focus on data analytics and communication. After starting his career at Panalpina as business analyst, he held the position of EVP Cargo at OAG where he led the initiatives to develop a cargo portfolio of products for the UK airline data publisher. In 2012 Dirk moved to CHAMP Cargosystems in the position of Head of Community Integration & eCargo where he was responsible for deployment of data communication products within the air cargo community. He then joined Seabury in 2014, bringing an impressive 20 years of air cargo industry experience to the table.

As can be seen from his proven record, Dirk has always had great interest in the aviation industry with a never ending urge to better understand it and help it to evolve! Though Dirk is an air specialist, in his free time he loves spending time on the water.
