Ira Smith has over 25 years of experience in the field of global supply chain logistics. Ira has had executive roles with both the airline and the freight forwarding industries. His initiatives have included implementing one of the first dedicated Healthcare vertical market departments for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. His previous role, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing (Pharma and Healthcare) for Kuehne+Nagel international AG, involved overseeing a global staff of professionals dedicated to providing a complete suite of international logistics services. Before joining Pelican BioThermal as Director – Strategic Development Global Transport and Logistics, Ira was President of PharmaSafe USA; a leading edge consulting group to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
